All of our Limitless Youth Programs are welcome to youth ages 12-18 in the community. Our goal is to provide access to youth within Fort McMurray to skill building, inclusive, leadership and recreational programs that gives them the tools and confidence to become successful adults. We are constantly striving to mold with the needs of today’s youth and the Fort McMurray community so that we can reach as much youth as possible.
Our Programs

Snapping The Shot
Ages: 14 – 18 years
When: Every second Thursday starting July 7th for 4 week 6:30 – 8:30 PM
Cost: Free
Love taking a photo and ever wonder what it would take to be a photographer? Join us for a four-week photography program. Partnering with Destiny Ezurs (Photography by Ezurs) learn different methods needed to get the perfect picture. Limited spaces available.

Go Rec It!
Ages: 10-15 years
When: Every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 PM
Cost: Free
Go Rec It! Is our youth program that is open to teens age 10-15. It is a FREE Drop-in event every Wednesday. This program offers board games, open gym, darts, laser tag and a climbing wall!

Kid Tech Nation
Ages: 9-12 years
When: Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 PM
Cost: Free
In an era of technology, ever wonder what it would be like to code your own creation? Join us for Kid Tech Nation! Kid Tech Nation is an 8-week technology program that teaches youth about coding concepts, digital skills, computational thinking, and internet safety.

Youth Internship
For Youth ages, 14-18 years old
When: Ongoing
Are you interested in gaining valuable leadership skills, work experience, and high-school volunteer hours? We are now accepting youth interns in grades 9-12 to help out with our ZAP Out-of-School Care and Limitless Youth programs. Interns will complete 35-hours (during afterschool and no-school days) and receive a certificate of completion and volunteer reference letter.

Steam Ahead
Ages: 9-12 years
When: Every second Thursday starting June 30th from 6:30-8:00 PM
Cost: Free
Love hands on experiences that allow you explore the world around you. engineering and mathematics with concepts of art, allowing youth to show their creativity and innovation. STEAM Ahead encourages youth to explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, with concepts of art, allowing youth to show their creativity and innovation.

Boccia
For ages 7 years old and up
When: Per request
Boccia Ball is a Paralympic sport that can be played by anyone, regardless of age or ability! Boccia is a co-ed sport of control and accuracy, similar to curling or lawn bowling. It is a great way for students to practice focus and accuracy while also working on social skills such as teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. The greatest part? We travel to YOU! If your school or organization is interested in playing Boccia, please email youth@fmbgc.ca.
Don’t have the space but have a group interested in playing? We can also host Boccia events at the Boys and Girls Club.
