GRACE SMITH

INTERIM ED / CHILD AND YOUTH PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Born and raised in the Philippines, Grace made her way to Canada in 2005 before moving to the urban centre of Wood Buffalo in 2009. Shortly after she arrived in the region, Grace joined BGC Fort McMurray and has been here ever since. With a degree in Social Work, Grace has dedicated much of her time to early childhood development and recognizes that we learn as much from children as they learn from us. Grace feels very proud to be part of such an amazing group of educators that make up the team at BGC. Through her leadership of childcare programs, Grace supports the social and emotional development of each child and ensures that they all receive the best care and love they deserve.

MERLYN DELLUTA

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR

Merlyn brings extensive experience in community engagement, event management, marketing, and operations to BGC Fort McMurray. With a background spanning administrations, communications, and relationship management, she is passionate about building meaningful connections that strengthen support for children, youth, and families in the community. In her role, Merlyn works closely with community partners, stakeholders, donors, and families to support programs, events, and initiatives that create positive opportunities for young people. She enjoys bringing people together, fostering collaboration, and finding creative ways to increase community awareness and engagement. Known for her positive energy, strong organizational skills, and people first approach. Merlyn is committed to helping BGC Fort McMurray continue to grow its impact in the region.

FINANCE MANAGER

With over 10 years in financial management experience, Yolanda brings both expertise and heart to her role as Finance Manager with BGC. Yolanda is passionate about supporting programs that give children and youth the opportunity to learn, grow, and feel connected. She values being part of a team that makes a real difference in the lives of local families, and works hard to ensure BGC Fort McMurray continues to thrive for years to come.
